Occupational Therapist

About the Role

In this role you will be able to develop all of the freedoms and skills of a clinician in private practice, with support of systems and administration to allow you to focus on the clinical work.  We are looking to create a team of skilled clinicians who support one another to continue to grow and develop their skills in chosen areas of expertise.  There is an opportunity here to work alongside clients of every imaginable background and with a variety of presenting issues. This role will provide direct therapy and assessment to clients of Distinct Directions utilising best practice interventions. 

This role is well suited to a Senior Occupational Therapist who enjoys working in a multidiscplinary environment; is motivated by facilitating optimal client outcomes through best practice; seek to work in a collaborative and professional team; wish to provide effective and innovative therapeutic solutions; and continually seek opportunities for professional development.

We offer a salary and conditions that suit both your needs and the companies needs.  Whilst we use the Health Professionals and Support Services Award as a base we understand that in the Allied Health industry particularly - no two peoples needs are going to be the same.  To support that we work with you to develop a package to meet your needs.  For some people Parental Leave is essential whilst for others Supported Study Leave is the key to achieving a work life integration - others want the company to provide their accommodation.  Rather than offer a predetermined set of conditions we will meet with you and work out the best option for every one within the scope of a 'package'.


All staff operate under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award with salaries and responsibilities keyed to those levels.


Package Range: $63,000 - $115,000 depending on experience and expertise


Parental, Study Leave and many other options available for case by case negotiation.

Location

Positions are available in Orange, NSW and Bathurst, NSW offices for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Run various educational sessions and therapy programs
  • Provide high level clinical services including client assessment and treatment, therapy, equipment prescription, home assessment and modifications
  • Conduct and Complete documentation of assessments, treatment plans and evaluations
  • Apply Independent professional judgement's to a complex array of caseloads

Qualifications

    • Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist

    Desirable:

    • Cross-Training in Mental Health Management
    • Higher Degree Qualification in Mental Health, Behavioural Science and/or Disabilities
